Marc Lopez is a Bay Area Freelance Illustrator who works in both the Traditional and Digital medium. Although he found passion in Art through Portraits and Caricatures, he gained inspiration to pursue a career in Children’s Book Illustration during his tenure as an After School Program instructor and tutor. Besides being a busy Freelance Illustrator, he used the experience and skills he learned thus far to start a small business. He currently owns and operates several successful online shops selling original artworks, prints, stationery, and various other craft goods. Marc has also worked with several with several local, national and international clients such as Google, Tik Games, and Cute Creatures Great and Small. Marc attended Richmond High School in Richmond, CA where he secured a place on Industrial Light and Magic’s mentorship program during his senior year. Although brief, he shadowed some of the best artists in the industry as they worked on two early installments of the Harry Potter series. He was then awarded a Pre-College Summer Scholarship to San Francisco’s Academy of Art University where went on to graduate with a B.A. in Illustration four years later. ![]()
